When Harry Met Sally Orgasm Scene: Meg Ryan Fake Orgasm
Whenever anyone thinks of the movie When Harry Met Sally, one particular scene always comes to mind. Harry (Billy Crystal) is having dinner with his on-again-off-again partner Sally at a diner called Kat’z Delicatessen. Eventually the conversation turns to sex, one night stands and faking orgasms (As conversations often do!). “Most women at some time or another have faked it,” Sally teases her hapless ex before teaching Harry a lesson by launching into a faked orgasm in the middle of the diner (Much to the other customer’s confusion!).
So the moral of the story is that women can fake orgasm so convincingly that us guys are like Harry, hopelessly confused, right? Well for the Harrys in the world, there are a few hints that Sally was faking orgasm. Maybe if he’d known this he could have got together with Sally before they were both in their forties…
How to Tell Sally Faked Her Orgasm
The first thing to spot is Sally’s face. Her skin never changes color once. Usually genuine orgasms cause a flush to spread over much of the face and body. While the absence of a flush is not certain evidence that she faked her orgasm, its presence is a good sign that her orgasm was probably genuine.
The second thing to notice is how clear her words are. Usually when women orgasm their words come out choppily (O-hhh–hhhh y-y-y-eeee-eee-ssssss) or as noises that don’t really sound like real words. Sally does only use exclamations, but her words and pronunciation are crystal-clear, this is a good sign that she is faking. As a general rule, the more talkative she is during orgasm, the less likely it is to be real.
Finally her body didn’t tense up completely when she orgasms. Although this varies from woman to woman, a lot of the time her body will completely tense up as if every muscle is registering the pleasure. The lack of tension in Sally’s body would suggest that she didn’t really orgasm.
Where Harry Went Wrong!
The one thing that When Harry Met Sally does show is that women can fake orgasm reasonably convincingly. Rather than waste your time constantly worrying about whether she really orgasmed or not, it is far better for you to devote your time to making the communication between you stronger. If she knows that her emotional and physical happiness are important to you, she will be less likely to fake orgasm and more likely to show you where you went wrong so you both can have a better orgasm. Amusingly that is the final lesson for Harry in the movie. At the end him and Sally have learned how to communicate honestly with one another and we can certainly guess that the diner was the last time that she faked an orgasm with him… Not that Harry would ever know the difference!
